Port Ghalib is just 10 minutes from Marsa Alam airport and the marina is
the nucleus of the community. The port can accommodate up to 1,000 boats
of 50m in length. The Port Ghalib community is developing into one of
the finest marinas in the Red Sea. There is a 1km stretch of retail
outlets, restaurants, cafes and bars as well as international hotels and
a myriad of activities available on land and sea.
Getting There & Around
There is no faster way into Port Ghalib than through the doors of the
Marsa Alam International Airport. Marsa Alam airport has served as an
international air gateway to Egypt’s South Red Sea coast since its
opening at the end of 2001. The airport terminal is less than five
minutes drive from the heart of Port Ghalib. Charter flights operate
from the UK and other European countries. There is also a scheduled
internal service to Cairo.

Who it suits
Port Ghalib is a resort that will rapidly develop in the future but for
2009, it is mainly a destination for scuba
divers who want to dive on Elphinstone or search of the resident
dugong (a few miles south). In addition, Port Ghalib is also ideal for
those in search of a quiet holiday away from it all.
You can book
your holiday to Port Ghalib online (select Hurghada or Marsa Alam
airport) but you will need to call us to arrange your diving on 0208
816 8789. If you prefer, you can email us via the 'Contact
Us' page.
