Lake Nasser was created in the 1960s as a direct result of the construction of Aswan High Dam. Lake Nasser stretches for 180 miles and cruising on Lake Nasser is an unforgettable experience. The area is also home to temples such as Abu Simbel which were painstakingly moved to save them from the rising waters. Typical Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to the airport for your flight to Aswan. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your cruise ship. Overnight in Aswan.

Day 2: Morning visit to Kalabsha Temple. Rest of the day at leisure while sailing to Wadi El Seboua. Overnight in Wadi El Seboua.

Day 3: Morning visit to Wadi El Seboua Temple. Afternoon sailing to Amada. On arrival, visit the site of Amada. Overnight in Amada.

Day 4: Sail from Amada to Abu Simbel, via Kasr Ibrim, allowing for an overview. In the afternoon visit the Abu Simbel Temples. Evening Sound & Light show at Abu Simbel Temples. Overnight in Abu Simbel.

Day 5: Morning transfer by road, a journey of approximately 3 hours, to your chosen hotel in Aswan, for an overnight stay.

Days 6-7: Transfer by road to Luxor, a journey of approximately 3 hours, spending the next 2 nights at the hotel of your choice.

Day 8: After breakfast, transfer to Luxor airport for your return flight to the UK.

It may be necessary to amend the itinerary due to prevailing local circumstances. In such an event, we will endeavour to provide you with as much notice as possible.

Extend Your Stay

Although you can fly to Egypt just for a Nile Cruise, once you disembark your cruise ship, it doesn’t have to signal the end of your holiday. Perhaps you want to visit the other famous sites of ancient Egypt and continue to Cairo to see the Pyramids of Giza. Alternatively, why not head over to one of the Red Sea resorts for some beach time or maybe a bit of scuba diving.
