Golf in El Gouna

Gene Bates and Fred Couples designed the El Gouna golf course with every level of golfer in mind. The par 74 course has five different tees with carefully placed bunkers, lagoons and desert rough all of which are designed to challenge the golfer to their level. If you are looking to relax after your round of golf, the course Clubhouse and Fitness club offer a well-equipped gymnasium, plunge pools, sauna, Turkish bath and massage services. The course is located in the centre of El Gouna at the Steigenberger Golf Hotel.

Golf in Sharm el Sheikh

The golf course at Sharm is located at the 5* Jolie Ville Golf Resort just 10 minutes from the airport. Opened in 1977, this par 72 PGA Championship course has matured into one of the best courses in the world. The Sharm course features Bermuda grass and 18 man-made lakes which attract a variety of exotic birds. Green fees are lower for guests staying at the Jolie Ville Golf Resort.

Golf in Soma Bay

The golf course at Soma Bay was designed by Gary Player and has been voted the number 1 course outside Europe by the readers of 'Golf Journal' for the last two years. Tuition for individuals and groups is available from the PGA professionals and extensive practice facilities are also available. Please note, we can only pre-book golf in Soma Bay for guests staying at the La Residence des Casades where the course is located.

Golf in Taba Heights

The course at Taba Heights is unique in the fact it provides views into 3 different countries from the course; Egypt, Israel and Jordan. Course fees vary depending on whether you stay in Taba Heights or outside. This par 72 championship course is set between the spectacular backdrop of the Sinai mountains and the crystal blue waters of the Gulf of Aqaba. At 640yds, the 14th is the longest championship hole in Egypt whilst the resident camel is a spectator as you complete your round on the 18th. 1 complimentary golf card is included with your green fees.

Taking Your Golf Clubs

If you are planning to bring your own clubs along with you, we recommend that you pre-book to avoid refusal of carriage. Prices vary from £20 to £45 depending on the charter airline you are flying with. We will be happy to provide you with contact details or website of the airlines that you are flying with. Please be aware that some of the airlines do have weight restrictions on golf equipment and we will be happy to discuss your options with you as part of your enquiry.

Off Course Activities

When you fancy a break from the fairways or if you are traveling with non-golfers, you’ll find a wide range of activities and facilities. All the golf resorts in Egypt offer watersports, snorkeling and scuba diving as well as camel treks, quad bikes and desert safaris.
