Alexandria is Egypt’s second largest city and its atmosphere is more

Getting There & Around
Alexandria is just 140 miles north of Cairo
and takes about 2.5 hours to get there by road. For the independent
traveler, there are bus and train services available. The airport at
Alexandria is 60km away from town and the journey takes around an hour.
In Alexandria, most people rely on the efficient tram service. Taxis are
also a popular option but make sure you agree a fare before your journey
if your taxi doesn’t have a meter.
