Dahab

Red Sea: Dahab Dahab is a former bedouin fishing village and was mainly a destination for backpackers. The development of hotels means Dahab is starting to become more popular with tourists. Dahab is still one of the Red Sea’s quieter resorts and is popular with scuba divers with the Blue Hole and Canyon being internationally renowned dive sites. It is also a popular destination for windsurfers and from here, you can take a number of day trips including Mount Sinai and St Catherine’s Monastery.

El Gouna

Red Sea: Elgouna El Gouna is a man-made resort dating from around 1990 with it’s unique layout of little islands and canals. The resort specialises in a number of water sports including scuba diving, snorkelling, wind surfing, kite surfing and other motorised water sports. There is a good range of hotel options as well as a golf course which was designed in part by Fred Couples. When the sun goes down, you will find a variety of nightlife to keep you busy including pubs, restaurants, nightclubs and casinos.

Hurghada

Red Sea: Hurghada Since investors started pouring money into Hurghada in the 1980s, the city has grown into one of the leading resorts in the Red Sea. The resort is fairly spread out over 3 main areas; Downtown which is the old part, Sekalla and El Korra Road. You’ll find restaurants, bars, shops, internet cafes and clubs all over Hurghada which has a reputation as a party town. Although the resort is spread out, getting around is easy in the mini-buses that travel up and down the resorts all day. During the day, it is also an international centre for water sports including scuba diving, snorkelling, fishing and wind surfing.

Makadi Bay

Red Sea: Makadi Bay Makadi Bay is one of the newer resorts on the Red Sea with the first hotel being built in 1998. It’s a quiet resort with a small number of hotels making it an ideal place to relax and get away from it all.

Most of the facilities in Makadi Bay are hotel based.

Marsa Alam

Red Sea: Marsa Alam Marsa Alam is rapidly becoming a more popular destination, mainly due to the opening of it’s own international airport in 2001. Some observers believe it will grow in size to rival Sharm el Sheikh and Hurghada but at present it is still fairly small. It is located much further south than other Red Sea resorts and scuba divers often report seeing spinner dolphins, dugongs and hammerhead sharks. If you fancy a bit of sightseeing, Luxor is a great option as a full day excursion.

Nuweiba

Nuweiba is one of the quieter Egyptian resorts located on the East Sinai coast, 80 km south of the border town of Taba. This is an ideal place to forget about the outside world and relax between the blue waters of the Gulf of Aqaba and the Desert Mountains. The soft, sandy beach stretches for 7km so it is perfect of divers and non-divers alike.

Port Ghalib

Sharm el Sheikh

Red Sea: Sharm palm tree Sharm el Sheikh is one of the premier seaside resorts in Egypt. It’s located at the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula and has plenty to offer tourists. Set between the Red Sea and the mountains, the busiest area is around Naama Bay although Old Town to the south is also worth visiting. Many of the luxury hotels are located in more secluded areas away from Naama Bay at places like Sharks Bay and Um el Sid.

In Naama Bay, you’ll find plenty of bars, restaurants, nightclubs and shops as well as beautiful, sandy beaches. The sea also provides plenty of activities with a number of water sports centres, snorkelling and swimming areas.

If you fancy getting an excursion, there are a number of options from Sharm el Sheikh. The most popular excursions include a day trip to Cairo including the Cairo Museum and the Pyramids, snorkelling in Ras Mohammed, Sinai Desert safaris and St Catherine’s Monastery. All excursions are subject to availability and may only be booked in the resort.

Sharm el Sheik is also one of the finest diving destinations in the world with a number of excellent sites in Ras Mohammed National Park and the Straits of Tiran available on daily diving trips. All our diving packages are booked with Emperor Divers who are acknowledged as the best school in the Red Sea.

Soma Bay/Safaga

Red Sea: Sombay Soma Bay is a custom built resort with picturesque mountains, beautiful sandy beaches and crystal clear waters providing a magnificent setting. There is a laid back atmosphere at the resort and for the golfers, you’ll find “The Cascades”, an 18 hole championship course designed by Gary Player.

Taba

Red Sea: Taba Taba is at the North of the Sinai Peninsula on the Gulf of Aqaba on the Egypt/Israel border. It is Egypt’s busiest border crossing to Israel and is a popular destination for Israeli tourists as a weekend getaway. A number of excursions are available to places like St Catherine’s Monastery and Mount Sinai. Wind surfing and kite surfing are both popular with snorkelling trips to Pharaoh’s Island also available. At night, entertainment is limited to the hotels restaurants and casinos.
